Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to bring your finance and administration skills to a growing tech company with a collaborative culture? Podfather is looking for a Finance & HR Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. 

As our Finance & HR Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial and people operations running smoothly. You’ll report to our Finance Director and work closely with both finance and HR teams, supporting the business across a broad range of tasks from purchase ledger to payroll support and HR admin. 

What You’ll Do

You’ll be hands-on in the day-to-day finance operations including: 

  • Processing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Handling monthly sales invoicing and bank reconciliations
  • Managing credit control and processing payments/direct debits
  • Supporting payroll and expense claim preparation
  • Assisting in the production of weekly/monthly management reports
  • Posting month-end journals
  • Getting involved in ad-hoc finance and business support tasks

You’ll also support our People team with HR admin tasks such as: 

  • Helping coordinate onboarding, training and employee communications
  • Tracking and reporting absence and overtime
  • Supporting the company appraisal process
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and internal comms
  • Keeping employee data up to date and assisting with internal audits
  • Providing admin support for recruitment , HR systems and knowledgebase

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who thrives in a varied role and enjoys working across teams. Ideally, you’ll bring: 

  • A degree or HNC/HND in a numerate subject
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance department
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero a bonus)
  • Strong Excel and general IT skills
  • A confident, friendly manner with excellent communication skills
  • A proven ability to keep sensitive information secure and confidential and take that responsibility seriously is essential
  • A willingness to learn and get stuck in across finance and HR
