Podfather Supports Scheme to Drive up Standards in Fleet Management
Edinburgh-based Podfather has become an Associate of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). A voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators, FORS aims to drive up standards within fleet operations and demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection. Podfather, an award-winning developer of logistics planning, route optimisation and ePOD software, will now work with FORS accredited operators to further help them achieve higher standards and demonstrate them to potential clients.
“Our users know that Podfather helps them achieve efficiencies and improvements in fleet management,” commented Podfather Managing Director Colin McCreadie. “We have vast amounts of evidence, both anecdotal and documented, showing financial, environmental and service benefits. These transform businesses, making them healthier, greener and more attractive to customers, and we are really excited to share our solution with FORS operators.”
“Software solutions, such as those offered by Podfather, are fundamental to helping our accredited operators achieve best practice, as well as be able to capture the data to prove it,” Geraint Davies, FORS Concession Director. “We are delighted to welcome Podfather to the FORS Community and look forward to introducing them to our operators at forthcoming events such as the annual conference in November.”
For over 15 years, FORS has worked with operators to encourage best practise across key areas such as safety, efficiency and the environment. FORS Accredited Operators are able to demonstrate that they are meeting their legislative requirements, as well as helping to increase efficiency, reduce costs and therefore win work. With over 4,700 accredited operators operating 94,000 vehicles, FORS is the largest scheme of its kind in the UK.
With over 30,000 users, across a wide range of industry sectors, Podfather helps companies plan manage and track their vehicle resources.
