Our office
Our offices are located to the west of Edinburgh city centre, just off off The City of Edinburgh Bypass, not far from the Gyle shopping centre. We have plenty of free parking on site and it’s easy to reach us both by bus and by tram (we’re less than 5 mins walk from either Gyle or Edinburgh Park tram stops). If you are joining us as a remote worker, then you’ll find it easy to reach both the airport and Edinburgh mainline train stations. Once you’re here we hope you find our offices a great place to work. We have spacious, well equipped workstations, lots of meeting room space and a well-stocked kitchen with fruit, biscuits, software drinks, ice creams and snacks freely available for everyone. We are working hard to make the PODFather office a nice place to be.
Career progression
Joining PODFather is just the start of your journey. We take career progression, and employee development, seriously. Everyone within the business, across all teams, gets the benefit of an annual career development contribution to spend on external training or membership to an industry association. In addition, we actively encourage everyone here to try new things within the business, moving between teams to learn and develop new skills.
Benefits and perks
We offer a range of perks and benefits. In terms of your working day, we offer flexible working hours and with us all working from home we are geared up to provide high spec workstation and equipment to meet your homeworking needs. We also offer an extra holiday purchase scheme, sick pay scheme, group income protection and group life insurance to all our staff.
Social events
We are a sociable bunch and, when social distancing measures are not in place, there is nothing that we love than planning a social event. There is a monthly board game night in the office as well as regular external events which are subsidised by the company. These are a great excuse to get together with your teammates and show off your skills!
What our team has to say about working at PODFather

Working in the PODFather development team is both challenging and rewarding. I get to work on new and exciting front-end technologies that are being deployed to some of the biggest names in the construction and logistics industries.
| Senior Software Engineer

In my role as a support engineer, I get to work across a variety of client projects, helping our users to get the most out of their PODFather system. I enjoy the fact that I can freely give my ideas on how the product should be shaped, and people listen.
| Senior Support Engineer

Working as part of the PODFather development team has allowed me to challenge myself in many ways. You get to challenge yourself in different technical areas, safe in the knowledge that you have a solid team there to support you.
| Lead Software Engineer

At PODFather the directors are always keen to encourage you to develop new skills. Having started as an ICT engineer, I am now Support Manager, leading the front-line team dealing with our growing customer base.

The nature of the system we sell means it can be configured to tackle pretty much whatever gets thrown at us. That’s the beauty of the PODFather solution and is a great asset when in a sales situation.
| Sales Manager

The best thing about account management is seeing the completion of a successful roll out. The PODFather system can make a huge difference to the businesses that use it and it’s great to be part of the team that’s helping to deliver these successes.
