PODFather awarded UK Government G-Cloud 5 framework agreement

PODFather Ltd, a leading business software company specialising in solutions for mobile workforces, announced today that it has been named as a supplier on the latest G-Cloud 5 framework contract delivered by the Government Digital Service. The G-Cloud service is designed to promote and encourage the adoption of cloud services across the UK public sector via the innovative “CloudStore”, which permits immediate procurement of cloud services by the public sector.

PODFather is a cloud-based software solution designed for businesses operating in logistics, construction, and various field service sectors. The solution incorporates a highly modular and customisable backoffice system for scheduling and optimising jobs amongst available mobile workers. Job instructions are downloaded in real-time to a powerful mobile application designed to work on both rugged enterprise handhelds and consumer smartphone/tablet devices. The PODFather mobile application enables the mobile worker to capture details of the completed job via a form template that can create an exact replica of the paper job sheet previously used, complete with GPS, image capture, barcode scanning and electronic signatures.

By automating paper-based processes and giving a real-time view of job progress, the PODFather system drives efficiencies through an organisation. Ultimately this can improve cash flow and customer service levels, whilst helping reduce the administrative costs and burdens of inefficient paper-based systems.

Colin McCreadie, Business Development Director of PODFather said, “Being on G-Cloud means that we can offer our service and value proposition to a huge number of public sector and charity organisations, without the need for those organisations having to conduct lengthy and often expensive procurement exercises. PODFather is committed to supporting G-Cloud as we believe it’s a great way for government to do business and we predict that business through G-Cloud will grow dramatically in the next 12 months as more suppliers and new services are added to the framework.”

About G-Cloud
