Flanagan Flooring, the leading distributor of floor covering material across Ireland, Scotland, and the North of England, has introduced PODFather’s delivery management and ePOD solution to improve logistics planning and tracking performance across its operation.  Flanagan Flooring had previously considered an alternative planning system to manage its 28-vehicle fleet delivering to over 600 retail outlet customers.  However, implementation was delayed due to the project team’s concerns about suitability for the business.  Having made the decision to look elsewhere Flanagan Flooring turned to PODFather to deliver the goods.  PODFather was selected based on the system’s breadth of functionality, ease of integration and proven ability to eradicate paper and improve visibility for its customers.

Flanagan Flooring uses PODFather to plan and manage its daily delivery operation.  Job information flows from Flanagan Flooring’s ERP system straight into PODFather which then takes over with delivery tracking, performance monitoring and electronic proof of delivery capture.  PODFather’s driver app ensures routes are communicated straight to driver handhelds, and that all ePOD information is captured and shared with head office in real time.  With paper tickets eradicated, and information visible to all business departments, Flanagan Flooring is reaping the benefits of having introduced PODFather into its planning process.
